Three steps
From a bare server to a private cloud
-
1
Connect your server
The address, login and password from your hosting email. FoxLair shows the server key fingerprint so nobody can hijack the connection.
-
2
FoxLair installs the agent
It checks the system, uploads the signed agent and runs it as a hardened service. After that, the password is no longer needed.
-
3
Set up with Tail
The fox guide walks you through naming, access, security, Docker and domains. Nothing changes until you confirm the plan.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Which server will work?
Any VPS or home computer with Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04, at least 512 MB of memory and 2 GB of free space. x86_64 or ARM64 CPU.
Do I need to know the terminal?
No. You only need the server address, login and password from your hosting provider. FoxLair does the rest and explains it in plain words.
What happens to what's already on the server?
Before installing, FoxLair checks the server and finds conflicts such as busy ports. Nothing changes without your confirmation.
How much does it cost?
Core features will be free. Some modules and cloud features will be available by subscription.
When can I try it?
The app is in development. The first release is for Windows, followed by macOS and Linux.
Your own cloud is closer than it seems
FoxLair for Windows is coming soon. You can prepare a server already — any Ubuntu VPS will do.
